Trees and avenues are more than elements of a landscape. They are witnesses of time, cultural symbols, habitats, landmarks – and recurring subjects in photography and art.

We are currently expanding alleen.online, a non-commercial educational and cultural project dedicated to avenues, trees, landscape, ecology and cultural history.

–

For a new section of the website, we are looking for photographers and visual artists from different countries who would like to present a selection of their work.

–

We are interested in artistic positions exploring trees and/or avenues – from landscape and documentary photography to conceptual, experimental or abstract approaches.

–

Selected artists are invited to contribute:

• a selection of up to 20 images
• a short artist biography
• a brief statement about the work or series
• links to the artist’s website and/or social media

–

The presentation on alleen.online is non-commercial and intended to create a growing international collection of artistic perspectives on trees and avenues – connecting art, photography, landscape, culture and environmental education.

–

We are delighted that internationally renowned photographer Michael Kenna is already participating in the project. We are also in contact with Roxanne Overton, and further artistic positions will follow.

–

If your work explores trees, avenues or our relationship with landscape and nature, we would be very happy to hear from you.
